SoCal Digital Marketing’s Six Steps for SEO Strategy

STEP #1: Identify Goals

When we get a new client, SoCal Digital Marketing first starts by discussing what the goals are for the client.   This would be specific products or services that the client would like to mainly focus on improving in sales.

 

STEP #2: Keyword Research Report

Next, SoCal Digital Marketing takes this list of goals and breaks it down into keywords.  Keywords are important words or concepts that relate to the product or service you are highlighting.  There are relevant topics that target your specific audience and allow your website to reach more people.  At SoCal Digital Marketing, we take 40 to 50 keywords that we can optimize the website for.  Using the competitor ranking software and Google’s related suggestions, we narrow down the best 10 to 15 keywords, depending on the client and size of campaign.

 

STEP #3: Site Audit Report

A site audit report is the process of evaluating a websites visibility and the factors that affect it on search engines.  SoCal Digital Marketing’s software displays any technical or layout issues with the client’s website.  An example of this is 404 missing pages, missing sitemaps, or duplicate content on the website.  From here, we would create solutions for each issue.  PageSpeed audit reports displays various areas of your website that could be optimized.  This allows the page speed to be quicker and how quickly your website loads.

 

STEP #4: On- Page SEO

For on-page SEO’s, we take the targeted keywords we created from step #2 and apply them into the titles and descriptions, alternate image tags and headlines.  In addition, we implement them into the content on the each of the website pages which allows Google to find them.  We also create blog post content for clients with the targeted keywords.  This allows search engines content to rank your website.

 

STEP #5: Outreach Program

An outreach program gets links from other websites back to our client’s website through various sources.  Google considers each link a “vote of confidence.”  These links are derived from press releases, blog posts and local citations.

 

STEP #6: Monthly Reports

All of SoCal Digital Marketing’s clients will receive monthly reports from our keyword rank tracking software.  This identifies the client’s current positions on Google, Yahoo and Bing.  Our software keeps track of the increase in visitors to our client’s website, how long visitors spend on the website and conversion tracking goals.  The monthly reports identifies the success of a website and where we can improve upon in the following month.
